Hello everybody, i have a lenovo ideapad laptop and it comes with a 1.3v ddr3(ddr3l i guess) ram and i have a 2 gb ddr3 ram that runes at 1.5v. the thing is i put the 1.5v on my laptop but it wont use it, i mean, it boots, computer works fine, CPU-Z program recognize the new ram but windows still says just 4gb of ram, while im suppose to have 6 now.
Ram 1.3v with a ram of 1.5v

DDR3 (1.5v) will work in only DDR3 slot.
DDR3L (1.35v) will work in either DDR3 or DDR3L.
If it works fine, then no issues. OS has to be 64 Bit, as well as hardware has to support.

Correct. Maybe you are lucky or it really supports DDR3. Check manufacturer specs for more information with the IdeaPad model number
