Ok so I finally put my new PC together, I spent three hours troubleshooting using the thread here at Tom's and I am having no luck. I need to find out what the post codes mean for my motherboard.

Jetway HIO8 P67
AMI 64mb flash rom

I couldn't find the codes I need on the net, and they are not in my mobo's manual. Please help!

CPU- i5-2320
MOBO- Jetway HIO8 P67
Graphics- windforce OC 1060 6gb

My current error code is: 25 on my mobo
Also did have a usb plugged in for boot purposes during my trying to boot.

Solution
I see your now excited things are going your way now...... I don't know what your needs are I use ide with my platter drives due to what I said above cause I swap things out a lot but ahci may be best for you and a bit better out side of compatibility . some of my old windows drives from older motherboard did not have ahci , so I maintain that if they were all ahci I'd use that but ide mode drives will not open or boot to ahci so I'm kinda stuck wth ide ..

ya, I guess if all looks to be well and you feel your ready to install a OS go for it

I hate to tell you how to do your bios settings and with out being there for hands on I may tell you something wrong unknowingly cause I'm not there to see in real...

I just bought this mobo because I had a stock gateway mobo and needed a new one because it did not support my new graphics card...

So I hope this is not the case :( I tried to put my GTX 650 in it and it didn't do anything different; my stock gateway ran that 650 for 3 years.

ya, I would feel that 650 should work with out issue . thing is I looked up that jetway and nothing on it even from jetway . heck no support page for drivers or bios updates, nothing ??

i think i would return it for something more name brand and has easy to find current support not got to jetway and get ''product not found '' or just a bunch of advertisements /sales hype info . it what all i got from jetway on that board .

its kinda hard to help you out when the company that made and sold the board is not . its like they dropped it like a hot potato and offers -0- support or anything on it ??

wish i had better to say on that deal , sorry .

be sure its got a full uefi bios and nothing less for them 10 series cards

that jetway has a ''EFI'' I see them not working out on like gigabyte motherboards and 10 series cards

but still that 650 should be fine and working

well thanks for trying! if i can get the mobo to work with my 650 then ill put it in my old tower. i want an 1151 mobo and graphics card but I really like quad core i5 ans my budget is 300$

ya, must be a reason why jetway made that board ''disappear'' as they say ??

heck you may find a great deal on a haswell build as well . I'm not to hip on skylake . seems to have a lot of growing pains with it and stranded nearly to the use of the malware called windows 10 ..

look around a deal on a z97 and a haswell refresh cpu like a i5 4690 .. may find something nice in that

sorry I was no better help but for now looks like you got hosed on that motherboard deal you got now ..

good luck

ouch... no good deals on haswells here for sure

there about $100 more today then they were when I built for the same CPu's , ouch.... I got my i5 4670 for $189 now it near like 300 ???? ouch

one thing I forgot to ask is if you use the onboard video off the motherboard and check in the bios settings to be sure the setting for pii-e card use is on / set to auto detect or what ever ?/ sometimes you may have to change that setting between onboard use and graphics card use ?

thing is I was looking to get the manual on that jetway and failed to find any thing so it slipped my mine to ask

that maybe why the 650 card is not working ??? thing is with ourt any support all I can do is take a guess at something to look and try

The Mobo has no video inputs, otherwise I'd just plug it in to use my it's dedicated graphics. Idk any other way to get video interface without putting a graphics card in

all that on the back panel and nothing to support video , wow you think at least a hdmi port .. whats crazy is what i 5 or i7 popularly used did not have graphics on the chip / cpu ??

matter of fact I don't guess I ever seen a intel board [desktop ] that did not have video out in some way [dvi/ hdmi/ d-sub , something ? ]

eck even some of the latest skylake 1151 board has a old vga/ d-sub still on them today

[ for example ]- Rear Panel I/O

- 1 x D-Sub Port
- 1 x DVI-D Port
- 1 x HDMI Port

if you unhook the hard drive from the sata port on the board and anything else not needed to boot , bare min. [ just keyboard and card ] how does it do then ? that's almost like not able to find something to boot to now

like did you or are you trying to just move windows over from your old board and if windows was loaded in ahci mode it will not boot in ide mode on the sata ports settings [ide is default] ??? cause it must be displaying to see that issue

I hate to tell you how to do your bios settings and with out being there for hands on I may tell you something wrong unknowingly cause I'm not there to see in real life/time

your memory maybe set the xmp profile if available and the sata to ahci and that should be about it or all I feel safe to say

I just wanted to inform you the GTX 1060 is now working and everything seems to be running fine. I am so happy right now, this is my first custom build, thank you so much for your help!

should be good as long as it don't exceed 16gb . so 2x8 should be fine ?? with 4 sticks used 4x4 would be that limit .

anyway glad it all going your way and enjoy , I was wondering if you put that 1060 in if it would of thrown thing back in to disarray or back to a no boot blackscreen
