Which power supply should I get?

I am looking for a power supply. I currently have an EVGA 500B and it has served me reliably for many years, so I will put it in a new build for a buddy knowing it will be OK. I will soon upgrade to the i7 7700k processor from my old i5 2500. This shouldn't alter my power usage too much since Intel has made their processors much more efficient.

I would like some guidance on whether I should:

a) buy the same power supply with peace of mind that my system will not crash due to power supply failure while reaching nearly the total 500W limit, which I have heard is not very efficient.

OR

b) buy this EVGA 600W power supply that does not have 80+ Bronze certification to make my power usage reach a more efficient level on the efficiency curve.

In anticipation of your prompt response,
Dave

Well you should be fine with keeping that PSU but up to you really, I have a EVGA 500w myself (not 500B) and that's worked fine so far with my i7 7700k and GTX 1080 but I guess the safer option would probably be the 600w.

My budget is as cheap as possible that can supply sufficient power efficiently and reliably for prolonged use in my personal system to be used around 2-5 hours a day.
