So I got an Ethernet plug in my room. It is connected to the router downstairs that also has a Wi-Fi signal which does not reach my Room.
But I would like to connect my phone to the WiFi, so what device would I have to use to be able to still connect an Ethernet cable to the wall for my Desktop PC, but also get WiFi for my phone, so that the access point is basically in my room.
Do I just buy a router and connect it the main port to the wall, and then plug my PC in the other available ports? Or what?
