What is happening with my PC Wifi?

I have had my PC now for about 3 month, i am using some Wireless Adapter USB to connect to the internet and it has been working fine now for about a year up until now i have been experiencing high, randomly being disconnected from the internet as well...

Now when i then go to try and connect again no WIFI options show which means i cant connect to anything? so i have to restart my PC but when i go to shut the PC down the monitors goes off but the actual Desktop stays on so i have to hold the power button? whereas if i went to turn the PC off while im still connected and everything is fine it turns off perfectly fine?!

If anyone knows whats wrong or if getting a Wireless Card will be more efficient and reliable then please say, i have tried 2 of these USB things and i am getting both the same result, when it does work im connected for like 2 hours then ill randomly be kicked off and i can either connect again or not att all;/
