The Reaper Wolf Reputable Jun 10, 2016 143 0 4,690 Feb 18, 2017 #1 Ok so I bought a seagate 1tb hdd and when I plugged it in I tried to see if it was in the bios and it wasn't so than when I loaded windows I checked the disk management and it said it was "unknown" and "not initialized"

Solution P P Paul NZ Feb 18, 2017 Must be faulty or the sata cable is.. Try another port or cable If the bios doesnt detect it then nothing else will Also check that the sata port isnt disabled. Some bios's have the option of disabling/enabling them
