Was wondering if this would work if not can someone give me some ideas please. i have two logitech z906 that i would like to setup on my pc. Can i use a toslink cable from my asus mg28uq to the receiver and on the other set run another toslink cable to my sound card

The Asus monitor does not have a Tos port and even if it did it would require a source audio stream from the pc which would use or turn off the pc's Tos port.
You'll need a Toslink splitter to do what you want. (this is an example only, not a recommendation though it dies seem to have excellent reviews)
