Hey, I installed linux on my laptop but for various reasons I want to switch it back to windows 10 (the os it shipped with).
I tried using rufus with a iso downloaded from the windows 10 media creation tool, but the machine will not see my usb as a bootable device.
I thought about using Microsoft's own media creation tool as that may make the drive bootable, But it cannot detect any of my usbs.
I've tried 4 now from different brands(Kingston, lexar, verbatim and toshiba) of flash drives with different capacities( 8gb,8gb,16gb and 32gb) and formatted them all differently from ntfs to fat32 to exfat but nothing, media creation tool simply will not see any of my usb drives.
My laptop does not have a optical drive nor do I have a external optical drive to try.
The reason this is in the windows 7 forum is because I'm making the bootable usb drive on a windows 7 machine if that makes a difference
