Hi guys

Next up is buying a ssd or m.2 card but i am very confused between the m.2 type m and the m.2 nvm I have a asus maximus alpha hero 8 which the motherboard say M.2 Socket 3 Type M
PCIe Gen3.0 x4 mode. I badly want to get a Samsung 960 EVO 500GB M.2 PCI-e 3.0 x 4 NVMe Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-V6P512BW but not sure if my mother board will support it.

If i look at the length of it and the space i have on my motherboard it look much smaller and afraid it will not fit.

Does someone maybe know if the 960 will work for sure on my board.

Thanks alot

What is a good ssd which you would suggested . my thing is if it is close to the same price then the m.2 you might as well go that if there is a big price gap then i will go ssd but there as so many brands and speeds so not to sure i am looking for a 250 or 500 just to run my windows from running blue and black drives for games and storage.

I checked now and the price difference is about 700 Rand which is not that much.

Other thing which i was wondering about will my graphics card be performance decrease if running a m.2 or not.
