I have an old Pentium 3 PC and in the bios is an option "Processor Number" with enable or disable, its in Advanced - Device Options. What is this and what should i do with it?

Solution
Hi

Processors have a serial number embedded in them
It was thought it would provide proof of identity of pc and user
Which might prevent card fraud for online purchases.

But would enable the secret police to track your internet activity
So you had a bios choice if the operating system and programs could see this serial number
