I'm looking to get a Zotac GTX 1050 ti and I have a case that may or may not hold it and I want to know for sure, I have terrible luck with these things so if anyone can help me out then that would be greatly appreciated. The main issue is the CPU cooler getting in the way and its just wierd the way its layed out

im looking for a way to set it up horizontally, without having the PCI extension thing, my side panel just messes with the cooling anyway lol so I don't really want it that badly

Case: Optiplex 380

Dell's website says the minitower can use a full height card. The 'desktop' size, a slim one, can use a low profile card. This one is the one where they also mention that the riser allows the use of a full height card. The small form factor type can use the low profile card but no mention of using a riser.

So, depending on the size of your case, those seem to be your options. MSI has a low profile 1050 Ti but you're going to have to pay a bit of a premium for it. If that computer has a Core 2 Duo in it I advise against buying a 1050 Ti. The bios in that motherboard may not be compatible with the new Nvidia cards and the CPU won't be fast enough to use the performance anyways.

The issue is the mt won't fit dual slot cards, or single slot with a dual slot cooler that's too long. Dell used the same btx on many models and during that time, dell was very popular, I even have one similar. I have a dual slot cooler, single slot card and it's longer than any of the zotac 1050ti cards I see. Zotac has a couple different models but it looks like they are all minimum length x16 cards (it's only as long as the x16 slot).

Thx, but i have 3 slots in the back here so it should fit fine, it will be better than the GT 210 I have sitting in here
also I looked up some videos with Core 2 quads and such around this generation and it seemed to work fine
