My hard drive WD blue 500 WS lagging day by day and it a made a high spinning sound as of starting when the windows seems freezes and hard drives shows loading or it end up in blue screen so I decided to check it and it shows counts of bad sector and relocated sectors so I have bought new one Seagate st1000dm003
At starting it seemed ok and new is installed without any problem and after 2 days when system loaded with my software and data it also shows freezing problem the hd lled goes of for that freezing period and comes back with a high spinning sound like which I heard when I powerd hd only with PSU isolated ,so I thought of removing graphics card to check if the power is enough for graphics card
It worked for few times but didn't last for so long same freezing issue fought back so I changed PSU to see it would help ,and it went well for about one or2 months with that sound only at starting and hd led indicated full bright light at booting and after that it seemed worked
But now I face the freezing issue again it was first showed when I tried to open file explorer just after windows booted up computer freezes with the same sound and hd led gone off , so now I don't know what is the cause, and I really need an advice so I could change my hd drive if it's hd issue .Or is there any part I need to check ?

Hey there.

Sorry to hear about the issues you've been experiencing.

Do you still have your WD drive connected along with the new drive? It's not uncommon for a faulty HDD to be causing problems with the whole system even if it's not the OS drive.
I'd suggest that you backup any important data which you might have, if you haven't done so already. After that go ahead and download the HDD manufacturer's diagnostic tool and test the drive for errors and bad sectors.
You should also try it with different SATA ports and cables, to see if the issues still persists.

Hope that helps. Please let me know how everything goes.
