Spotify App Background Crash on Android

I am writing this article because this problem has worn down a big piece of my patience so far and there seems to be no suitable answer for me on the internet yet.

The problem I am basically encountering right now is, that whenever I start a song on my phone and then switch the screen off, after 5-15 seconds the music stopps and the app crashes. When I turn on the screen again the App restarts and then I can start the music again, shut the screen off again and basically repeat myself forever here. If I leave the screen on during the music playing (even if I then switch to another app) the music runs entirely fine until I turn the screen off again.

The confusing part here is the following: I dont have any apps installed to kill any processes in the background and neither did I fiddle around with any of the settings in the developer options menu. Furthermore the App only crashes when the screen is off but not when I do stuff an a different app while the screen is still on.
And on top of that this error is highly inconsistent. Sometimes it doesnt occur for a day and on others it just keeps happening. I´ve tried a App reinstall, Cache clear and even a battery exchange with a replacement battery I had from one year ago. None of the actions above altered the behaviour of this error occurring on a what seems to be random basis.

My question here is whether it is possible to find an app somewhere that can give the phone a setting like "Dont end these apps under any circumstances besides the user closing it manually: Spotify, (...)"

My Phone is a Huawei Ascend G700 which is not rooted/jailbreaked, and I´d prefer to leave it like that. If theres no other way I may think about rooting it but for now I´d like to search for an easier way that doesnt include rooting the phone.

I hope anyone who knows about how android works can give me a hint on how to fix this, I´ve made good experiences with the TomsHardware Community before so I am confident someone can help me here.
I will try to check this thread atleast two times a day so I dont miss out on anything for too long.

Thanks in advance to any response/suggestion submitted, it helps a lot.

Your phone is propably killing the app to free ram. YOu can try to keep the app in RAM to let it run. There are ROOT apps and non-root apps. On a quick search I found those two (ROOT:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smartprojects.MemoryLocker&hl=en) (NON-ROOT:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.defim.apk.keeprunning&hl=en)

So now that I have time to reply, thank you first of all for a fast answer. I´ve downloaded the Non Root App option you have offered and got the following result:
It was working for about 20 minutes and I thought that I had fixed it when the issue came back even with the app running. This continues throughout the day (two busrides, both ~45 minutes long) and didnt change any way besides the 20 minutes fix at the beginning.
So, unfortunately I am stuck where I started, the app crashes when the screen is off stopping the music, upon switching the screen on and unlocking the phone the app restarts and so on and so forth.

I tried moving the app cache from the SD card to the phone intern space but that didn´t result in any change either. What is interesting to note here is also regarding your answer: You said that the issue might be related to RAM usage. However, even with a couple of apps opened the RAM usage never seems to exceed 900 MB (my phone has 2GB). Now one may think the other apps also may get closed behind a switched off screen but it appears its only spotify thats dieing apparently.

Leaving the screen on while listening of course is a workaround but a mediocre one at best, as a permanent active touchscreen can be really impractical sometimes.

Right now I am wondering whether there couldnt be a way to fully disable background process killing from android, not necessarily as prime solution but rather as a little research whether that issue is actually related to this seemingly existing function in the Android OS.

I will be happy to try your suggestions and thank you and everyone for any response in advance.
