Hello, my brother computer is not booting correctly.

The error message says,

asmedia 106X SATA Controller Ver. 0.95 IDE Mode
Copyright (C) Asmedia Technology, Inc. All Rights Reserved.
S.M.A.R.T Supported
Using PCIE Gen 2
SATA Chanel 0 ST3500418AS

Then it says no bootable device, and nothing happens.

If you guys need more info, ask me and if you have a solution certainty put it down below,

Thanks, Rojo

Solution
So, we fixed it. It was simple. It was loading somthing called hard drive 2.2 terabyte but my brother ha ss 500gb, so we just went to mobo bios and switched it.

Thanks for the help though
rojo7 depending if he has an intel or amd mb the asmedia at post is a 3 party sata chipset most asmedia chipsets are made for data drives and not boot drives. download the mb user guild look for sata ports look for port 0 for intel or amd . in the bios make sure sata port set to achi mode not ide for windows.

The problem is that the cable went loose and came out, we don't really know what it was plugged into. So I tried plugging them in all 6 slots and nothing happend.

read the mb info that written on it post here the make and model so we can look at the mb guild. your looking for port 0 and in the bios make sure onboard sata ports are on and set for achi. if the sata ports were set to ide when there set to achi it boot then error out.
