Since I bought a 4k monitor, I have been getting lagging issues, especially in rocket league. Overwatch/siege/ark is fine. Just rocket league. i am having trouble determine what might be the issue behind it, being I have high fps.
I have a core i7 clocked at 2.7ghz, a nvidia 1070, and a 4k monitor with a 60hz refresh rate.
If anyone could help, would be appreciated.

Solution

this just hit me. display port 1.2 is capped at 4k 60hz. so it might be bottlenecking on gpu/cpu easy games (more fps). ur only solution is hdmi 2.0 but ur monitor should support it.

I will try mate, if that doesn't work. Will it be something to do with my monitors refresh rate? I dumbed it down to 2k last night and there was still lag/stuttering.

chances r, the issue is with the monitor only. 1 more idea i can think of is the frame skipping feature. dunno whether i saw it in graphics driver settings or in-game settings.

if this doesnt clear it up, try asking display experts in tom's community.

I don't have any FPS drop though, stays at a constant 60 fps.

I'm having the same problem and its driving me crazy.
My laptop is Asusg75VW with GPU Nvidia GTX660(3gb), CS GO used to run very smooth earlier, but now it lags for no reason with fps around 70.

lets hope a future driver fix will solve it then. u could rollback to ur previous driver to crosscheck though...

What do you mean? I have monitor display port to graphics card display port.
