GeForce GTX 970 SLI doesn't seem to be working.

I have recently reset my computer to factory settings. I have a Lenovo Y900 RE. I have gone through and reinstalled everything that is necessary (e.g. GeForce Experience, Graphics card drivers and utilities to keep my PC running optimally etc.).

I ran Fallout 4 for the first time and it set all of the settings to ultra. However when I played the game, the quality was terrible (most likely not an in-game bug because the menu was terrible as well). Upon exiting Fallout 4, I tried to run Nvidia control panel, but it won't open. I went to reinstall all the graphics card drivers and checked them but they are all up to date and I ran CCleaner, Windows defender, Malware bytes and Lenovo solution centre. All of the tests came back fine complete including the video memory and texture pipeline for the GTX 970s.

As you can see, I'm a bit stuck as what to do. I tried to look elsewhere for solutions but all I found was "back in my day the graphics were bad, you'll just have to deal with it" which I can't do as I have gotten used to ultra @60fps.

I am actually a bit stupid. When I ran Fallout 4 for the first time I completely forgot to change the resolution , so even though everything was set to ultra, the resolution was low. I fixed that.

However I did run DDU and then after I reinstalled the drivers I lost and everything seems to be working now.
