My computer was working Friday. I left for the weekend - no changes - and won't boot Sunday. The windows logo never appears during boot.

I get an error when I try any System Restore, repair, or diagnostic options.

One thing i did see is it looks like it os trying to boot from drive E. Windows is installed on drive C. I did pull sata wires during troubleshooting to see if maybe the other was causing an issue. I hope it didn't reletter itself somehow, but it may be a weird root cause if it tried that before.

Drive C is one physical drive, the only other partition is an automatic restore/backup partition. Drives D and E are a second physical drive. Windows 7 has been installed since late december, the free upgrade to 10 had a myriad of issues. I wiped the C drive, E is a storage drive.

Thanks in advance.

Solution
Remove all drive except the boot one, make sure it's in the same SATA port as it was originally setup in. Maybe try a different cable.

Run a disk check, there may be a utility in the BIOS or use a boot disk like Hirens or Ultimate Boot CD and use the disk utilities on those to scan the drive.
