So I decided to plug in my 6 yo rig and after it being unused for 3 years, it's still working. I am planning to upgrade it without doing too much changes (maybe only RAM and GPU).

Current specs:

CPU: i3 530
GPU: GTS 250 1GB
Memory: 2 GB

I'm not quite sure what my MOBO and PSU are 'cause I'm not currently at home. I'm planning to play old games (2014 below), also, I don't mind playing on mid settings @720p @30fps. My plan is to upgrade my GPU and RAM so that I don't have to replace most of the parts as I'm only planning to play old games given the age of my CPU. Can you suggest a GPU that ain't hard to find and wouldn't suffer from bottleneck too much? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

First, download this free program (CPU-Z) to determine what components you have installed.

http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

It take up a small amount of disk space and is easy to run. Once loaded it you just click to start and up will pop a window with a number of different tabs (see image link below).

We will need the information from the mainboard (mobo) and memory tabs. Really hard to make suggestions without information on the mobo, need to determine compatibility.

For PSU if you can take a picture of the label on the PSU that will tells us what GPU can be installed and whether it needs...
