I saw that there was some posts about 2017 PC builds but I wasn't sure which one would be a good choice. I am trying to help a friend with building his new PC because currently he has a laptop that can barely run OW on low settings. I'd prefer an Intel CPU and possibly a Nividia GPU but he is open to any better suggestions. He plays OW, and use to play CSGO but not much anymore, besides minecraft those are the only 2 games he can run.

He'd like to be able to run games like BF1, for honor and other FPS style games. I don't think he'd overclock personally because he isn't experienced with it.

Edit:He has a keyboard, monitor and mouse

I edited it a bit to have better GPU, CPU, PSU, case and added an SSD and it even less money :)

yup, those are legit keys

you download win 10 from microsoft

Yes, with the recent drivers, the 4GB version of RX 480 performs the same on 1080p as GTX 1060 6GB or RX 480 8GB at much lower price point.
So it is kinda "obvious" choice at this performance level.

Of course it depends on your local pricing and availability. in some countries RX 480 is more expensive and vice versa.

an r9 fury beats a rx 480 out of the box. psu is top quality from seasonic (jonnyguru almost gave it a perfect score) nothing can beat this psu at it's current pricing IMO... should handle the fury with no problems.

i would like to point out a few things of this build.
psu is overpriced for it's quality
better two 4gb ram modules in dual channel than a single 8gb module in single channel as this cuts memory bandwith and therefore performance
intel's kaby lake pentiums are a much better value if you go cheap on dual core cpu as they are hyperthreaded and cheaper (ex: pentium g4560)
rx 460 outperforms gtx 1050 and the cheapest one costs just $100
case is great if you prefer looks over functionality

that case looks sexy but it's seems like a ripoff of NZXT H440 (white) that price though...
