Hi I have a MSI H61M-P31 G3 motherboard and a i5 3470 processor but DDR3 1333 memory. Would changing to DDR3 1600 memory make a noticeable difference to performance or would it make little or no difference?

Regards Steve

Little or no difference. You'd likely be trading latency for frequency and at this level no real difference should be noticeable.

In terms of RAM size, if you go from 8GB to 16GB you might notice a little difference but going from 16 to 32 wouldn't make much difference for gaming.

I had the same thing to decide, have 1333MHz Ram and just bought used 1600MHz Ram. First thing, I got lucky it worked, second, I just overclocked the 1333MHz Ram to 1600MHz. And finally, I got no performance boost at all, but a bit better feeling because of more memory :D
