as you can see: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814137049 or https://slickdeals.net/f/9789087-sapphire-nitro-radeon-4gb-rx-480-165-ar-newegg
An RX 480 can be had for just 154.99$ or 164.99$ for a more prettier version. GTX 1050ti can be had for 129.99$. Who in their dead mind would pay 130$ for a GTX 1050ti when 25$ more can get them an RX 480/GTX 1060 performance? 154.99$ is a whopping 100$ lower than a Radeon HD 6950 2gb someone paid 250$ for back in 2010/2011 ish. LET ME REPEAT: 100$ CHEAPER than a 40nm 6900 in 2010!! Insanely new breakthrough powerful tech, just through the gate, this much cheaper?
So why is this so? my theory/conspiracy is that all the game companies in the world got into some kind of a temporary alliance/conglomerate thing to subsidize card companies so they sell their current breakthrough midrange shits, right just after a huge die sink from 28nm to 14nm, just at the right time, for low.
Why? so they can make games with higher graphics technology and more modern graphics, why? so they can sell more games. It seems like games with insane graphics sells more, given or take gameplays being a bonus add-in, no data here just pure speculation.
So it seems to them it's just all an investment, game companies/publisher like EA/Ubisoft/Blizzard/whoelse/Bedestha/Activision. Your thoughts? give me some theories if you know. Like maybe you take an economic class and it's supply and demand chain thing.
Just imagine what it would be like if the averages of the world's computer be an RX 480 4GB? it's not a PLAYSTATION 4/Xbox One's Radeon HD 7850 that's for sure, give or take PRO/Scorpio.
They'll prolly make something like WoW 2 with Mass Effect Andromeda's graphics if the averages is so.
