I updated my drivers (gtx 580) and downloaded nvidias gaming driver. Now my pc loads up until it gets to the windows loading screen. It then keeps restarting (the power never turning off) over and over. I can't even run in safe mode. Any tips? Appreciate it!

when the computer is on and you let ti ''boot'' as far as it will go just pull the plug to kill it count to 5 and plug it back in and restart and you should go to a dos like screen that offers that option

should be a screen like this from the first screenshot used here

choose safe mode

if not then you may have a deeper issue

thing is I gave you something to try , nothing on doing any of that to see

he asked for your system specs so maybe we can dig around on known issues or a more direct help / work a round . nothing on that yet ??????
if your board has onboard graphics may need to remove the gtx 580 and see if it will then boot to desktop ? if so then remove / uninstall that driver

shut down and replace the card and try back ? if it works as normal don't install tha driver you just used and go back to the one that was working as normal

It's not letting me in safe mode. Used to be f8 now it doesn't work. Spent hours looking for an answer and trying everything I've read. Is there another way to start safe mode? I've tried F5 F8 while holding shit and any combination of the three.. nothing.
