Good day everyone,

** Let me start off by saying that i am an amateur on the subject so i am sorry if any of the following might seem like something very basic to most people here.

I am building a budget PC using 2 ADATA SSD drives (Ultimate SU800 256gb and 512gb). However, i have never built a PC with a SSD drive, let alone 2 of them.

I am looking on information on how to proceed on installing my operating system on the 256gb drive (which will also be used for Adobe Premier and Adobe After Effects) and use the 512gb for storage and gaming.

So far, i finished putting everything together and booted the PC to access the BIOS (did not install windows yet as i am waiting for delivery for my Windows 10 on USB). When i went to set up the boot sequence/list (to prepare it to boot with USB), i only see one "SU800" showing. Should there be two "SU800" options ?

Can anybody provide instructions on setting up the Bios, how to install windows and setting up both drives ? Or maybe provide a link to where i could find this kind of information. I tried to goole some of it but everything i found, mostly, was related to RAID this or RAID that which i am not interested in doing, i just want to use both disk separately.

Thanks in advance for any response.

The operative word here is BOOT.

Both SSD are hooked up as HD, meaning in the SATA chain. BIOS typically only looks at the first drive on the SATA chain to boot, so this perfectly normal.

Since you are using the second SSD as DATA ONLY, why would you want to see it as a BOOT drive? You panic for nothing. If you go into the main menu of the BIOS, not the boot menu, but the general information menu, both of your SSD should be there and that's all you need to know they are there and ready for formatting if necessary.

SSD are not some magic thing, they behave just like HD for all...
