So when my computer starts up I have EVGA PrecisionX drivers set to run when it starts up. They do run when it starts up and they are set to run a certain fan profile when it starts up. But even though the PX starts the program, it never runs my fan profile unless I open the program. Sometimes it will start the fan profile when I open the program whether I tell it to run that program or not. Any suggestions?

seems here again the same story with that

maybe that reinstall may help seems I had to for some reason like my first install of it something did not seem to work right , oh ya, my card with perx 16 would not clock down to its idle low power state , but after I reinstalled it it them worked properly ?

maybe try that any good overclocking profiles you can save in a new folder out side per,x and copy and past them back in to the new install proper folder in the programs file
Not sure if this will help you, but I will try. I think you are getting confused between 2 options that are poorly worded:

- "START UP OFF/ON" option on the main screen: Only controls whether a profile is automatically applied at Windows startup. It does not control whether PrecisionX itself starts.
- SETTINGS -> GENERAL -> START WITH OS checkbox: This actually controls whether PrecisionX itself starts at Windows startup.

Use the tooltips to confirm, by hovering your mouse over the options for a little bit of time. And if you are wanting to control whether PrecisionX itself starts at Windows startup, you need to be using/checking the second option.

EVGA: You can do better to make these options clearer.

Jacob

Yes, in task manager PX is set to run at startup, and in PX itself it is set to run a profile at startup. How do you select the profile you wish to run at startup because I don't recall any setting to make a profile run at startup?

lol I use that perx 16 with my 980ti and you know , never set a fan profile with it never had reason to , sorry .

maybe like I said post at evga forums and see what there guys / gurus have to say that do use it

i'll look in mine and see like using the OSD to show what I want on the screen was not so easy took a few trys to get it how I wanted onec you find the right combo and what to check or un check ..

I used afterburner as well but I never used it fan profile

loks like the same story here as well

''The last selection is the startup section, which allows Precision X to load when booting into Windows. When enabled, it will automatically apply a selected saved profile if allowed.''

I wonder if you still got to add it to a profile save number as you see here and hit apply
