I am getting a new ssd tomorrow and need to know how to put the os on there so my pc will load up faster and how to transfer games onto it ?

Solution
OK...try this and see if it works:

-----------------------------
Verify the actual used space on the current drive is significantly below the size of the new SSD
Download and install Macrium Reflect (or Samsung Data Migration, if a Samsung SSD)
Power off
Disconnect ALL drives except the current C and the new SSD
Power up
Run the Macrium Reflect (or Samsung Data Migration)
Select ALL the partitions on the existing C drive
Click the 'Clone' button
Wait until it is done
When it finishes, power off
Disconnect ALL drives except for the new SSD
Swap the SATA cables around so that the new drive is connected to the same SATA port as the old drive
Power up, and verify the BIOS boot order
If good, continue the power up

It should...

A. How large is the new SSD?
B. How much total used space is on your C drive or partition?

If A is larger than B, a cloning opertion might be a possibility. Otherwise...a clean install on the SSD. Which means a clean install of everything else.

You can't pick and choose what gets migrated to the new drive.
Basically, the whole partition. Maybe, minus things like doc/music/funny cat videos.
How large is your Steam library?

But you can't pick and choose games and applications.
And a 120GB is pretty slim for that.

Looks like you are headed for a clean install of the OS on this new drive.

Once we figure out what exactly you are going to do, the how will be easy to recommend.

But basically, the SSD is just like any other drive. Just way faster.

"6kb" ?
hmmm.........don't think so.

Anyway...you need to discover the current actual used space on your C drive, and exactly what is consuming that space.

I'd like to see a screen cap of your current Disk Management window, and/or a screencap from WinDirStat. (download and install that)

OK then...by hook or by crook, reduce that used space on the C drive to below 90GB.

Once you are at that point, you can (probably) clone. We shall go into detail on that later.

ive got a prnt screen but cant put it on here and i dont know what to get rid of

Your current C drive looks to be about the same size as your new SSD, and it is 97% full, so I would not recommend cloning it over to the new SSD. You never want to fill a SSD to more than about 85-90% of it's capacity.

I would recommend a fresh install of Windows 10, and then install the applications/games you really need on the SSD. With only 120GB capacity, you will have to watch what goes on the SSD, as over time Windows updates will fill up more space. If you have an external drive you can back up files from the old HDD (mp3's, videos, photos, pdf's, documents, etc.) then you can re-format the old HDD, and begin installing things on it. You generally can't just copy games and other applications between drives (files -yes).

And make sure to disconnect the old HDD before you install Windows onto the new SSD. You can reconnect it after the install is complete.
