So I woke up one day to find my computer completely lifeless. It's a pretty good PC with the major components a little less than 3 years old. No signs of startup whatsoever, however the monitors have an orange light, so it's not the surge protector.

Tested the power supply on an LED power supply tester and got absolutely no output. Got further confirmation when I tested the motherboard with a working (albeit, less powerful) psu from another computer and got a green power light on the mobo (which I didn't get with the dead psu).

So I'm pretty sure it's the power supply. The thing is, it's only three years old, like I said and I'm wondering exactly what caused it to die before I get a new one. Was wondering if anyone has any comments as to the symptoms. Not sure if I drew too much power (doubtful) or if heat and dust played a large factor. I DO keep the case on the floor (on a floorboard for airflow), but seeing as how the psu mounts on the bottom, I suspect dust buildup. Would that cause a psu to simply not startup at all and if so, how much accumulation?

Thanks guys!

Also, PSU is Corsair CX750M
