Hello I was just looking at AI Suite 3 and under DIGI +VRM the CPU Power Phase Control is set to extreme. I never changed anything in AI Suite 3 but
a few days ago I changed the XMP to profile 1 in the BIOS and turned it off as I just wanted to see what would their be any performance increase but theres none. From the time I turned XMP off I realized that my CPU temps were really high before I enabled XMP my temps where at 30-35 degrees celsius and know they stay at 39-41 idle. Also in games my cpu is getting extremely hot today it 100c in overwatch which is absolutely ridiculous. Did enabling XMP change different settings as well ? Should I change the Power Phase Control to standard or optimized ?

My guess is the sorry excuse for a CPU cooler you choose is causing the issue. No way I'd ever stick that thing on an unlocked i7. Xmp can create more heat if it sped your memory up as the memory controller is in the CPU but once you turned it off it shouldn't be any different.

The temps were fine when I got the cooler they were sitting at 75c while playing overwatch and now 100c.
