performance wise there isn't really any difference but for laptops the Intel graphics on the 7th generation CPU's like the 7700hq is able to do 4K video. seeing how you're looking at getting a gaming laptop it'll probably have an NVIDIA GPU though

Yep, also you won't need a strong GPU, just the CPU will be fine.
