Hey guys was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this..
So I live in a sleepout aprox 10-13m
away from the house/WiFi router and I have a gaming PC I use, now to connect to this I have a laptop which is connected to the router inside, then via Ethernet cable from my laptop to PC(too difficult to run a Ethernet cable inside currently). When I want to play when my other family is on the internet I can't as my ping rises to 999ms they are generally watching videos. Would using a dual band routers 5GHz channel 1stly reach my room ? Would it help me have more consistent internet than the standard 2.4GHz I'm pretty sure we currently using and would it even make a difference if other people are using the WiFi at the same time.
Thanks in advance.

5ghz does not penetrate walls as well as 2.4ghz. I don't think it will help you. Getting a wireless bridge, rather than using a laptop might help overall, but it may be the case that you just don't have enough WAN bandwidth to support your gaming and the rest of the streaming.
