I built a pc in November and it's great. I built it using the build that Linus suggested for the 2016 budget build. I see people with seemingly worse specs than me who can run games way better than me. When I play games like gta v and H1z1 my frames constantly dip below 60fps. So now to my questions. Why am I getting such low frames and will overclocking my gpu and CPU help. If so, what's the best way to do so? These are my specs. I also have 2 gpus that I own to choose from, one of which I'm keeping. I have a rx480 and a 1050ti (single fan)
- Asus micro atx ddr3 2400 NA motherboard a68hm-k
- Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB Single DDR3 1600 MT/s PC3-12800 CL9 1.5V UDIMM 240-Pin Memory (BLS8G3D1609DS1S00)
- Cooler Master Elite 342 RC-342-KKRJ-GP 400W Mini Tower Case (Black)
- AMD Athlon X4 860K with 95W Thermal Solution 3.7 4 Socket FM2+ AD860KXBJASBX
- MSI GAMING Radeon RX 480 GDDR5 4GB CrossFire VR Ready FinFET DirectX 12 Graphics Card (RX 480 ARMOR 4G OC)
- 240gb ssd
PS. Will getting a better psu and after market cooling help to oc?

I doubt overclocking would help much, nor do I really think you can overclock with that hardware. Framerate dipping below 60 is normal with those specs, just depends on what settings you use. Best solution is get a new cpu. Even my old i5 4670k wasn't great running GTA V so its to be expected. Best to just turn down some options really. Also stick with the RX 480, its better than 1050ti.
