I literally just unplugged my computer and went to the local lan center and brought my monitor to play 144hz there. Upon coming home and plugging my display port back into my laptop I am only getting 60hz. I literally was just running 144hz and 1080p before I left 1900x w.e it is. Now 1440x900 is all I can go up to with 60hz ?!?!?! I only have the image going to my monitor laptop screen is off. It's a brand new laptop with a 1070 nvidia gtx 8gb obv can run 144hz. I am using a display port as I stated, please help I have no idea what I did wrong. I literally am running the same way before I left ?!?!?!

and so i change display to 800x600 in nvidia control panel and it lets me use 120hz on that. I am so baffled where did my 1080p go, could my cord be faulty? If it was faulty why would it display on my monitor at all ? I am seriously so baffled right now....

also hdmi cord plugged in resolution goes right back to 1900 and 1080p....... so im guessing i screwed up my display port when i pulled it out to hard. ordered a new one so well see if it's that, just wondering why the display port displays 60hz at all and 120hz on 800x600, could it still be faulty at 144hz 1080p? since the hdmi cord changes the resolution right back ? i did pull out the display port hard because i didn't notice the clip till after i kinda messed it up a bit
