The 80+PSU brands

I hear different from one thing to another. What are some good PUS brands and I hear that 80+Platinum is good. I just have a Geforce 1050Ti video card, a ADM-fx 8350

80+ is a certification for energy efficiency of the PSU not a brand, 80+ Platinum is the second highest certification for a PSU. You can read more about it in this wiki article. For quality PSU brands look for Seasonic and EVGA for example, also Corsair from RM series and up is rated top tier. You can check this forum post on tom's for example. EVGA G2 series is a decently priced quality PSU for example, you could propably do with a 650W unit and have some headroom there.

Edit. And like said above, if you go for PSUs rated higher then gold then you will be paying a lot of premium for those units.

evga : G2 series, G3 series ( PSU made by super flower )
seasonic : G series, X Series
XFX : Xtr series ( PSU made by seasonic )
Super Flower : Leadex series
FSP : Hydro G Series
Antec : Edge Series
Rosewill : Photon series, Glacier series.
Etc.

Those is good PSU brand.

Out of all of the 80+, what pulls more watts from the wall and I hear that the less ones just wast watt and the good 80+ will save energy. Witch ones save more energy and less wattage. Oh u figure it out, this the first time i heard of 80+

There's is also platinum as well.
Do any other the two save on energy. Somewhere i read that watts just get lost, but with 80+ gold or platinum saves energy. DO they even save on energy bills. I just looking for one that saves the most.

Yes they save some energy, but with the increased price of platinum/titanium units you'll propably never get it back in your energy bill.

Edit. http://www.anandtech.com/show/7474/analyzing-power-use-80-plus-bronze-vs-platinum they tested it here between bronze and platinum unit. Remember the numbers are for if you are running that load 24/7 on your computer, so it's the best case scenario of how much you would save.

No, it refers to the power efficiency of the power supply.
PSUs don't affect performance at all, just what hardware it supports.

I think by "watts lost" you are referring to efficiency. Power is supplied to the computer. Where does it come from? The power plant in your city. Only problem is, as it makes its way to the computer, some of that power goes to waste and is lost as heat. This particularly happens inside the power supply, certain components will heat up (power = heat).

The exact efficiency of a power supply depends on the exact model. The 80+ certification is a general certification that will tell you if one power supply is more efficient than another. An 80+ certified power supply does not necessarily have 80% efficiency. If your PSU is under very minimal or great stress, it will usually be less efficient. So efficiency is not a constant but a variable property of the electronics.

The equation for efficiency is:

Power out is how much power the computer is using. So if your graphics card using 100W, the CPU 50W, and everything else 25W, the power out would be 175W. Power in will be higher, though. As power travels from the power plant, some of it is wasted. So if there is 88% efficiency in this scenario, power input will be ~199W.

There are two adverse effects of having a poor efficiency:

1) The power supply gets hotter. This may cause the internal components to get hotter which can shorten its lifespan. Or if you're the type of person you may like low efficiency so you have a free room heater in the Winter.

2) It costs your electricity bill a bit more money

I say "a bit more money" for a reason. The gains are very small for an average consumer, and if your parents pay the bill, who really cares anyway, am I right? But in general there are a lot more aspects to research into instead of just efficiency. Efficiency is just the bottom of the mountain, I suggest you ask experts for a power supply recommendation, as they have knowledge of the additional properties of power supplies.
