EDIT: SOLVED, Lowering my GPU core clock by -90 Mhz fixed the issue..

Yikes i hate computers sometimes.

The problem:
Computer can withstand normal use for over 48 hours continuous with no crash, no over heating, NOTHING!
Open a game, such as From the Depths or Arma 3 and 5 minutes into the game, the screen goes black and the GPU fans spin to 100%, so the GPU is crashing whether it be the drivers or not im not sure. The computer continues to play the game in the back ground with a black screen and GPU fans still running max RPM.

What I've attempted to fix the problem:
Ran Memtest, 100% no problems
Replaced PSU
Replacing MOBO
Replacing RAM
Replaced GPU from 680 to 780 Ti
New coolers and fans to eliminate over heating
FRESH windows install.
Updated all drivers, then tried older GPU drivers
Used Driver Booster to auto download extra drivers i needed if i missed any.
Monitored Temps, GPU and CPU usage and they are all in normal ranges upon crashes.

What i have NOT tried:
Replacing CPU
Editing REG to allow TDP time of GPU to be larger, 8 i recall a tutorial mentioned you set it to.
Entering safe mode and running game, but with a fresh install and it still happening, seems pointless.

Another user, this is hit post:

Is having the same problem. Help would be very appreciated.

Memory errors don't always show on memtest. Driver booster seems to cause more problems than solve from what I've gathered reading forums so I'd avoid using that. Have you updated the bios of your motherboard? Could you also list the actual components of your system?

Will update Bios now.

PSU- Some streamline CoolerMaster 750W, changing in a few days to better mainstream brand.
Cpu- i7 2600k 5 years old- Oc to 3.5 Ghz
GPU- 780 Ti Asus
Mobo- Ga-Z77x-D3h
Ram- 8Gb, not sure what brand

Upon attempting to update Bios, i can not find a 64 bit version of my bios. Heres a link to the MOBO's support driver download page, click the BIOS tab down the bottom.. any help?

EDIT/ Figured it out. Bios updated and testing now.

You could check PSU voltages with hwmonitor for example. Also try running a game that crashes with only one memory stick installed at a time, easy test to do to see if one of the modules is faulty without having to get a new kit.

I can't do that because the 8gb ram i have installed is only one stick.
The PSU voltages would be fine would they not? It is a brand new PSU

I'd guess so, but never hurts to check. Can you get a another memory stick to test with from a friend or something?

Have you tried MSI Afterburner & changing the fan profile. I always have my gpu fans come on below 40C and run at max a t60C. I know gpu max temps are higher but... I too used to get black screens on different gpus before I changed fan profiles. I have used MSI Afterburner and am currently using Asus gpu tweak with my GTX970.

Will have to test tomorrow.
I feel as if this is VERY important to add as well.

My previous PSU, a 1200W Silver Stone had for 5 years started acting up a week ago and when i plugged any HDD into my PC it would INSTANTLY fry it and cause smoke to come out of hard drive.
I suspect the PSU was pumping too much current into the HDD's and i swapped it out for this 750 Coolermaster for the mean time.

I then discovered that my CPU_FAN header pins on my MOBO are dead.
Could the PSU malfunction have affected the MOBO in a way to crash when a game is played?
What really boggles my mind is that the CPU and GPU can withstand 100% load stress testing but the MOMENT anything big is done in a game, the GPU crashes.

Oh, could be some damage on the mobo then if it's been pushing too much voltage on one of the rails. Miracle that it didn't blow anything else. It could be that if you only stress CPU or GPU they don't individually cause enough strain for it to crash but when you push them both..

Thats very true. Could be the case. Are there any programs that you know of that can stress BOTH at the same time?

Alright so i ran Furmark and Prime 95 at the same time as guess what?

First time the crash could be reproduced, exactly like when i start a game.
You've figured it out! So this would be the mobo i assume, not the ram or CPU?

Does not totally coun't out the ram yet, you have more in use with more programs running which could bring out the error. CPUs hardly ever get damaged.

I'll test other ram sticks, and if problem still occurs then i will switch out MOBO. Thanks everyone for all the help. Will post here with results for anyone else having problems when i've tested.

Im about to smash my computer.

I've switched out ram, tested.. = Crash
I've got a BRAND new mobo... fresh install, fresh drivers. = CRASH

The ONLY thing i have no replaced is my CPU. I can't believe this. Can anyone help me, it cant possibly be my CPU.
