Hi. I've had my PC setup with the same connection for about 8 months now without a hitch, using a gigabite switch connected to a Linksys router.
Waking up today though my computer isn't displaying any ethernet connection, only allows me to connect wirelessly, and the ethernet port on the motherboard is red (I've read that this is to do with speed not actual connection?).
I've checked that all cables are connected properly and the ethernet ports of the router, modem and switch are all still working fine.
If anyone could help it'd be appreciated,
