So I have an FX 6300 and a GTX 1060 3G. On medium settings and 70% resolution scale I'm only getting 40 to 60 FPS and barely 60. Should I get an FX 8350 or intel if intel it needs to be about $50 cheaper than that because I need to update my motherboard and I do not have a lot of money my FX 6300 is overclocked to 4 gigahertz. When I overclocked it to 4.4 it ran it pretty well, but I accidentally wanted to bios and changes one thing I think it was the cool and quiet setting and try and play and game and I got a blue screen whenever I joined a squad and my computer restarted I turned cool and quiet back off and I still got blue screen so went back to 4 gigahertz. So why can't I run it even with those semi low settings??

Solution
Because that is the most cpu demanding game out. And nothing in the AMD product lineup can run it awesomely today. I'm your case I HIGHLY suggest waiting until ryzen comes out in 2 weeks or so. All signs point to it being very competitive with Intel performance wise and a good night cheaper. (All still rumors and leaks at the moment) but they are all close enough to the same conclusions that I'm thinking they're at least close to right.

I recommend you hold off on the upgrade and save for an i5 or perhaps Ryzen in the near future. In the meantime, you had achieved 4.4ghz in the past with reasonable results. Go into the bios and select optimized defaults and reboot.(this will return you to a clean slate) Return to the bios and only change the settings which originally produced the stable 4.4ghz overclock. Let us know how this works.

Sorry it took me awhile to respond... Won't happen again I'm gone sundays mondays and tuesdays. I used a youtube video in Spanish and I only did half of them because he was getting into other things I didn't want to do, and also messed with voltages, and I had the same bios but mine said "Optimized" and "warning voltage maybe increasedfor optimal overclocking" so left it... heres the youtube video i used.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0w7yVNYxflM&t=524s

Oh btw....... can't afford ryzen..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTu7ryfKO5E

ok but if they don't come out soon I'm buying an intel cpu. I just used msi afterburner on battlefield and my GPU is using 27% while my cpu is using 80+!

Ocing your processor back would probably be the best thing. Rest to default settings. Then work on your oc again. No idea when the non 8 core parts are comming out but I think theyre Lowest part is in the $140 range and is a 4c4t processor (similar to an i5) and a 4c8t (basically i7) for under $200

i mean, i looked it up it says it's fine.

What are your current system full specs ??

Are you actually running the sane board as the video ?? Ie the gigabyte 78lmt-usb3?

Just copying direct settings from a YouTube vid is almost always a terrible idea - that guy is pushing a silly amount of voltage through that board , there's no need to increase nb voltage & there's no need to disable cool & quiet at all.

I have the same CPU an FX 6300. That CPU used an AM3 CPU socket. Any motherboard with that socket on it can only use DDR3 RAM. It will not support DDR4 RAM. The only upgrades you can do without changing your motherboard is changing to a 8300 series AMD CPU or more DDR3 RAM. If you want to go with Intel you will have to buy a new motherboard because the CPU sockets aren't compatible.
