I am trying to forward the ports 80 on my dlink router. I have been trying to forward it for using SET(Social engineering toolkit). Whenever access my ip address, after forwarding, it brings me back to the router page. But when i access the device address (192.168.1.33 in this case), i can see the page loading correctly(only to the devices connected to the routers though..). Please help. Thanks in advance.

Solution

Again, generally forwarding port 80 is not necessary. If you can web browse, then the port is allowed through the firewall.
My problem is understanding your issue, as I don't have insight on SET and i'm wondering how you are determining forwarding port 80 is the issue.

Ya i have tried that.. And the canyouseeme.org tool displays an error stating that it could not see your service on port 80 and reason as connection timed out

when i try to got to my ip address,(typing it in browser and hitting enter); instead of displaying the page cloned by SET, it shows the router login page. There is no problem with SET. But when i type in the address assigned to my laptop(192.168.1.33 in this case), the cloned page appears.

So.. is there a problem with the configuration for port forwarding of the router
