Hello there everyone! So as you can already tell, I've a HD7990, while I love this card and I had a good run with it, I'm increasingly tired of the crossfire problems and issues with many games (HD7990 is a dual HD7970)
And so I wanted to upgrade to a relatively strong single gpu which ideally could give me better performance.

I was currently looking at R9 Nano and Fury x, however I'm also open to NVidia suggestions though I don't know much about those (just please don't make this thread NVidia Vs Amd contest hahaha) . My budget stretches up to £500.

Thank you for all your suggestions!

I would wait until Vega comes out, it might just slot in your bracket. If you don't want anymore crossfire setups, you pretty much have to go with Geforce 1070 or higher, as the AMD 480 is a great card, but its not a 1070 contender. The 1070 is about $380-400, so depending on UK Sales tax it should be in your budget. I would ignore the 470 recommendation, i don't think it would make sense to buy a card slower then what you have.

your processor is pretty bad

save the rest of your money for a new system build

ryzen is releasing soon, and you are way overdue on a new setup

Yeah I forgot to mention. I will be running a i7 -6700k in a months time, as I will get it from my Brother because he's upgrading to something else.

I see, Seems there are two votes for a 1070. Should I rule out your previous suggestions? Sorry is questions seem stupid but I'm yet to do my research and your suggestions will help me a lot!
