I don't know where to post this but I want to know if this works. My brother said it wont.

It will work fine granted you have an adequate power supply. If you're buying new though I'd suggest a G4600, not only is it half the price it will perform better in games. I'm assuming that's what you'll be doing as I see a 1050Ti. You'll also need an LGA 1151 motherboard to go with the CPU and DDR4 RAM.
