Hello!

My headset (Plantronics Audio 365) mic is only recording the audio input of the pc or just static.
After I got it, it worked for 10 Minutes and then it went dead. I tried everything to fix it (disable Stereo-Channel, plug the mic into Line-up or reinstall Drivers). I am currently using Win10 and my Motherboard is the MSI-B250 PC Mate.

Hope you'll answer soon

When you say it sometimes records the audio input of the pc, do you mean that it picks up the same thing that you're hearing over your headphones? That's the audio output. The audio input is what a microphone picks up, and that's what you want a microphone to record.

If it means what I think it means, then the headphones have shorted out between the mic and the headphone sections. Try to RMA.

I'll assume for the sake of brevity that you have everything plugged in correctly.

Aside from a fairly obscure setting, the only way that happens is if the signal to the headphones is shorted out to the microphone. If that's the case, RMA the headphones.

If it is the setting, then when you go to the sound devices settings, in the recording tab, there will be an item labelled "Stereo Mix" with a green check on it (meaning it's the current default recording device). Under normal circumstances, that device doesn't even show up, and even if it does, it should not have the green check on it. Anything other than having it in the list with a green check is perfectly fine.

The mic should be working because after I plugged it in it worked for about 10 min. then I tried to switch the settings so echos get reduced but then it stopped working...
