Just bought this pc. And need to know what I absolutely should get to upgrade for running newer games?

Unfortunately It's not a very good PC FX lineup is now EOL = End of Life.

Low end intel setups perform better.

Maye a decent PSU and better graphics card , but for the money you could have bought a real nice intel setup.

The overall PC is fairly decent.
To improve it, you can buy a more powerful GPU, like an RX470 or RX480 on the AMD side, or something like a GTX1060 or perhaps even GTX1070 on nVidia side.
Another thing to think about is whether a decent PSU is in it. However, not sure what it is. I say give it a check and google it.

To be honest, I say run it like it is, it is a balanced system which will run games on medium settings rather nicely.

As stated above a quality PSU and a new GPU. Possibly an RX 480 but that would be at the extreme.

A 1060 6GB or a RX480 8GB would be a great upgrade as long as your PSU is capable Ibuypower tends to use very poor power supplies.

I'd say first and foremost a better GPU. Something like a RX 480 or GTX 1060 6GB.

Really depends on your budget, and the games you're playing. You could also double the RAM capacity to 16GB, and add an SSD, but of course the more you add, the more it costs.

I haven't received it yet. She just told me today what she bought me. I went to the site. But it doesn't really say what make and model for the psu. Unless I'm not seeing it?

The only system I see currently on their site with that CPU starts out with a FX-6300, and offers a free upgrade to the 8320. It also starts out with a 400w PSU, and offers a free upgrade to a 800w bronze certified unit.

Maybe if you're lucky you can catch them before they ship it and ask your gal to have them upgrade the PSU. A 400w unit won't cut it for a decent GPU upgrade though.

On the chance that it IS actually a 500w and can't be upgraded due to time of purchase possibly not being at time of current deals, then ask them who it's made by and what certification if any.

If it hasn't shipped yet, I'd also ask them if you can have them swap to a better GPU and pay the difference. As long as it's cheaper than buying the GPU yourself, it's better on your end.

It says 500watt-ATX on the specs. Not sure if that's the brand or not?

Most likely a cheap CX500....you will need a new PSU to run a nice card.

Seriously doubt if it's even anything other than an OEM unit. I've seen pics of even their 800w units, and they are odd lengthy shaped ones and silver, like OEM ones (unless the pic is wrong). That means they'd have less warranty coverage likely.

That said, OEM units are getting speced better all the time. On their higher priced systems for instance, the 800w unit is silver rated. At least that's what they claim. You never really know until a trustworthy site benches them with proper pro testing gear.

I called ibuypower and they said it is a offbrand no name psu. They recommended I get a 750w. But the guy also said I should be able to run any game on regular settings the way it is. I think I am going to get a EVGA SuperNOVA 750
And a ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 3GB Dual-fan OC Edition VR Ready Dual HDMI DP 1.4 Gaming Graphics Card (DUAL-GTX1060-O3G)

The 1060 really only needs 20 amps and 400w if it's a decent quality PSU. The reason I said 400w wouldn't likely cut it is I know they use cheap quality PSUs, but their 500w would likely run it.

At the very least put a bit more in the GPU vs the PSU, so you can get the 6GB version 1060. Otherwise you won't be able to run max texture detail in some games, which is getting common now that 6-8 GB GPUs are so prevalent.
