X3 425 in rs880pm-am MOBO?

Looked up the motherboard and couldn't find anything. Sure you got the motherboard model# right? It should say right below the CPU socket. ie: MSI, ASUS, GIGABYTE followed by a few numbers.

edit: found the board, it will support the X3 425.

Spec wise the RS880PM-AM will support it and much newer and better AM3+ chips then that.
Frankly I am suprprised that what it would have sold with anything where an x3 would be an actual improvement.

Now with that said it has a very locked bios so I can garantee that that CPU is "allowed" by the bios.
The bset bet would be to search for what CPUs came with that motheboard stock and pick one of those.
