The AMD-fx series.

I keep hearing about the (AMD Ryzen). when or do anyone know when its coming. I best stick with the FX series plus the (AMD Ryzen) may have more watts then my motherboard recommended.

Don't bother with those AMD's. Wait a few more weeks. Get the new AMD Ryzen CPU's

Agreed the FX series are out dated don't buy them.

Especially for video editing, They are no where near as good as intel CPU's for editing encoding etc. Ryzen looks pretty promising though.

Ryzen launches in March, so about 2-4 weeks I'd say, and the TDP on Ryzen will be lower than FX series I believe. The FX series TDP is actually pretty high lol.

It will not, Ryzen is going to be compatible with the AM4 socket so you will need a new motherboard and new RAM because AM4 motherboards will only support DDR4 RAM.

Oh well. I'm not throwing everything out just to get that. U know how it is, u have all the hardware and just don't want to throw it out for one thing that don't work with it. It all cost, why throw your money away just yet, wait maybe a year or so.

As for PSU, I look at amazon and Newegg and it shows ATX and ATX12, what's the deal with them

If you plan on gaming on the FX series I must say it's not the best same with video editing/encoding. But if it works for you no reason to go with Ryzen, It's just Ryzen is more than likely going to be 40-50% better than the FX series in every way. as for the PSU's just get a regular ATX PSU at least tier 3+ heres a tier list: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

Like I said look on the tier list I linked you and find the best tier you can get for the best price, But Seasonic, XFX, Antec and EVGA make good power supplies, Not the 500w Bronze PSU's from EVGA etc though those are completely different from their G2, GS and GQ series.
