can i combine udimm and sdram ram?

i have 2gb ram udimm 1600 mhz and i want to add a 4gb ram sdram 1600 mhz.. is it okay?
im confused with udimm and sdram type of ram please help thanks

udimm- unregistered double inline memory module.
sdram - synchronous dynamic random access memory.

Sdram - can be unregistered and registered.
So if your system uses udimm sdram, then you can add only another udimm sdram
(and it has to be of same type DDR, DDR2, DDR3 or DDR4).
