Hi , i have a gaming pc from a few years ago and these are the specs:
i5 4670k cpu
Corsair XM3 2x4GB 1600 ddr3 ram
H87m-D3H gigabyte mobo
Gtx 770 2gb gigabyte windforce gpu
1tb WD black hdd 7200
Haf 912 plus mid tower
Stock intel cpu cooling fan
I have a budget of 1500euros/dollors and i want to maximize the music production aspect. I have an steinberg and a 2i2 scarlet both usb audio interfaces.
I work with both ableton and fl studio and use a lot of vsts for making house music (2tb on my external hdd)
What changes give me the best results ? How muh ssd should i get ? Should i put all my vsts on ssd or it doesnt matter ? Will my cpu bottleneck the production ?
I see 2 ways for now , upgrading to 2tb ssd and 24gb ram and fan , or upgading mobo and cpu and ram.
What would you do ?
