I have both a hdd and ssd but the hdd does not show up in my computer. I tried booting with the hard drive unplugged and i ended up in BIOS. Did i install windows onto the hdd and not the ssd? If so, what is the easiest way to fix this. TIA

Hey there, Josh.

It does sound like it, since you have Windows installed and the SSD is not recognized according to what you've mentioned. I'd recommend that you check Disk Management and Device Manager and post screenshot of what you see there. Here's how to open them: How to access Disk Management in Windows & How to access Device Manager in Windows.
It's highly possible that the SSD is recognized by the computer but needs to be initialized, partitioned and formatted in order for it to appear in Windows Explorer (This PC, My Computer). How to initialize or write a signature to a secondary hard drive or Solid State drive in Windows & How to partition and format a drive on Windows and macOS

If you haven't written any important data on it and you want the SSD to be the OS drive, disconnect the HDD, install Windows on your SSD. After that you could reconnect the HDD and partition & format it as you see fit, so that you can use it as a secondary storage drive without any traces of the old OS.

Hope that helps.
