So i wanted to know if upgrading from a8-6500 CPU to AMD's Athlon 880k is a good idea since i am getting like 60-90 fps on CS:GO. Battlefield 1 is like 40-60 fps on low settings 1080p. How much would my performance increase?

I know that my MOBO socket (fm2+) is bad and there are no new CPU's for that socket, but i wanted to know it this good idea. Overwatch is running 70 fps on high. Or is it possible that there is some other problems with my PC since i get so bad fps on CSGO? Should i restart my windows 10?

GPU : gtx 1050 ti
RAM : 8gb (2 X 4) 1600mhz
HDD : 1tb (i dont know the model)
PSU : 550w corsair vs
Monitor : 1980 X 1090 60hz

Solution
Well they are both quad-cores with the 880K being about 10-20% faster depending on capability to overclock. Overall that's not a whole lot considering the i5-2500 and Pentium G4560 are both about 50% faster.

I think it would be better to save for a newer Intel system with a G4560, i3, or i5.

I absolutely agree. Sorry I left out AM4/Ryzen, that is definitely an option whenever it releases.
