Hi, I'm completely non tech savvy' when it comes to computers and laptops. What laptops out now will smoothly run the sims 3 and expansion packs that aren't over $2k ?? I don't know anything about system parts so I'm hoping someone smart enough will just tell me suitable laptops. Thanks !!

This should be very adequete for your needs. Maybe a bit overkill for Sims 3, but the Sims can get pretty performance heavy then bigger the world gets, so this should keep it running smoothly, and it's only $1600.
