My Internet connection had been struggling for the past days. I decided to uninstall Hamachi and everything worked fine. I reinstalled my network card and restarted my computer. Everything was fine. I launched a game, tabbed out and my computer froze. I held down the power button until my computer was turned off and then I turned it on again only to not being able to connect or find our Wi-Fi. Other devices and computer can connect to it fine, but my PC can't even detect any Wi-Fi in my area.

In the toolbar the Wi-Fi icon has now turned into a windows 10 version of this:

The network adaptor card may be fried and that is possibly why the the computer is not giving you the option for WIFI. Also as firefoxx04 said about the button, this has happened to me before.

Should I have a look inside the computer? I don't really know which part is the network card (could it be a part of the motherboard?) is. Do you need any details about the network card?

Hello.
I had similar experience in the past. I installed Hamachi and few days later my laptop couldn't find any wireless networks in the area. My phone found and connected to wi-fi successfully but my computer couldn't even detect any other networks. Ethernet connection (using a network cable) was working fine, which made me think that the problem was in the WLAN card.

As far as I remember in the device manager everything seemed to be ok. But when I opened the menu "Network adapters" the wirelss lan card wasn't detected. I'm not a computer specialist but I read a lot of topics on the Intenet and still I wasnt able to fix the problem. The one thing left to do was to change the WLAN card itslef. Fortunately I found a used one, the same as mine, and it was very cheap. After installation everything was back to normal, no drivers or anything else needed.
Hope this helps and good luck!
