I currently have the Netgear D6200 router and have non-fibre BT internet.

Fibre is now available in my area and want to upgrade to it but need to know if my router is compatible so I can buy a new one!

Thanks, Ajsski99

Fiber generally does not come all the way to the router.
It stops at the wall of the house, then a converter or terminal of some sort (provided by the ISP), converts this into coax or ethernet. You router uses that.

For a new router, start with what is on their recommended list.
