Computer won't run any games for very long and freezes

Hey I'm having issues gaming. I've had this PC for a little over 6 months and I'm having issues where I'll boot a game it will run for a few minutes and then my computer freezes and gets quiet and nothing can be done until i restart it. It happens with many games and its not overheating may reach 60 degrees Celsius. I installed a motherboard a few months ago and thats the newest part but it worked for a while after I installed it.

This is almost always caused by a power supply.

What happens is the PC works fine because the power supply works. But then the GPU asks for more power on the 12v rail and the PSU can't take it. The GPU is starved of power, and crashes.

I'd bet that you either got a cheap PSU or this is prebuilt that has a generic PSU.
